WHO ARE WE?

Chainbreakers Prison & Family Outreach CTX was born in 2017, as a small juvenile justice outreach at Generations Church in Leander Texas, led by Patrick and Kristina Bell. We began as an annual Christmas meal gift and meal outreach, and we had no idea where God was going to take us!

We steadily grew over the years, eventually becoming a quarterly service in 2018 and a monthly service in 2019. In 2020, we weren’t sure if we’d ever get back into the facility to serve the students with all of the mandates and restrictions…but God! Through our partnership with WCJJC, we were able to start conducting Zoom meetings with the students until the facility reopened to the public. We eventually became a bi-weekly staple at the WCJJC by providing Thursday evening Bible Study and Church services.

In 2022, we launched as our own nonprofit outreach, as we were growing faster than our resources could keep up, and the Lord has moved in mighty ways! We were able to start serving the staff at that facility by providing two staff appreciation meals each year and gifts during the Christmas season.

In 2023, we added a second facility to our service schedule through our partnership with the Central Texas Treatment Center. Through that facility, we provide weekly Bible Study and Church services, annual live worship and baptism services, and two staff appreciation meals per year.

In 2024, we launched our Sober Living Establishment Scholarships. These scholarships help us to provide one week of rent to a sober living facility for those being released from the CTTC, as they are required to live there for 90 days. We believe that these scholarships allow them time to get their feet underneath them while they are reestablishing themselves back into society.

Over the last 7 years, we have served hundreds of students and residents at these two facilities, and we believe God is only going to continue to expand our territory! While we greatly appreciate all of your financial support to keep our programs running, we most assuredly need your prayers!
